"A history lesson BEAUTIFULLY retold."

I'm usually a bit skeptical about first person shooters, but I've heard a lot of good reviews on this game and I decided to check this game out, and you'll see what I think on the review below!

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are very nice, the details are pretty good too and a good use of polygons in the game really add to the realism found in the game. The people in the game actually look like people and not just pointy images. The environments in the game are dark, even in well lit areas there is a good feel that you are playing the role of an undercover agent of some kind. There is virtually no slow down found in the game, and one nice little feature that you might notice is that when you shoot any wall, a bullet hole is shown in the wall. The only complaint I can have about the graphics in the game is that when you shoot the helmet off of soldiers and guards, their face just looks like a paper thin cardboard cut out. But other than that the graphics in the game are pretty good overall.

Sound & Music: 10/10
The sound in this game really makes the game shine, the voice actors are brilliant! There is a lot of German talk going around, which is pretty good since it makes the whole presence of the game feel much more realistic. But its not all German, when you talk to them on undercover missions they'll speak to you in English. You also have the accurate sounds of explosions and gun fire that's probably as real as it can get. Everything from the steel sounds of bullets that bounce off helmets to the crackling thunder of the night to the helicopter sounds in the game, its hard to dsiappoint any fan, not to mention the sound quality is excellent, you don't need a stereo system to feel the full effects of the sound either. The music in this game was quiet, a bit like Resident Evil at times and it would really set the mood of the game sometimes, like when enemies will approach you the symphony starts to play louder and louder, and even the alarm that goes off in later stages is enough to scare you. Basicall overall, the music and sound in this game is one of the best in the business that you'll ever see.

Replay Value: 6/10
Well there isn't much left to do once you have beaten the game, but albeit you would like to ''repeat history.'' The two player mode is what really keeps the game intact, its basically a one on one type of thing against a friend. But its the gameplay that keeps you back in the game more than once.

Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay in this game is just phenominal to put it at best. You take the role of an officer of the allies(presumably) and you infiltrate the German operations of WWII. The game accurately depicts what had happened in WWII, the FMVs are actual footages and no reinactments are done whatsoever. Its in the time period of WWII, but the game only goes as far as the battle in Europe, the game doesn't cover the war with Japan, I wish it would though, but this game is long enough as it is already. Along completing missions FMV sequences help advance the already accurate and interesting story, you get briefings of your next missions and such. And upon the actual field of gameplay, the gameplay is excellent. While the controls are a bit edgy(you can change them by the way), the gameplay makes you forget all of that. You start off with weapons of your own as you must take down as many guards and German soldiers as you can. The funny thing about the game is that it really does matter where you shoot them! When you shoot the guard in the head, the helmet flies off! Shoot them in the leg they start to limp a bit, and yes you can even shoot them in the croach(sp?), and when you do the soldiers will hold their...well you know. The game actually tallies up total groin shots! As well as number of enemies killed, and your health rate along with a bunch of other things. In the game you move about through, you can sneak around and take out the guard before he gets you and you can even take control of a machine gun berret in those small ditchs. Not to mention you can shoot gasoline tanks, which can help you eliminate enemies and you can usually catch them off guard. The game is ful of ammo, you will seldom find yourself running out of ammo since every soldier you shoot dead leaves something left behind. The game is really tricky at times, you sometimes might not know where the soldiers are, they can be up in houses, windows, rock ledges, wooden bridges, etc. Then you have the undercover missions, which are a serious blast to play. Since your undercover, you act like a German soldier, you walk around with your primary pass to get through to certain areas. However your primary pass isn't usually enough, you will have to steal passes from other people, and the only way to do that is to take them out. You have to be careful sometimes because if you pull out your gun, soldiers will automatically credit you as an ally(ally as in referring to the Soviet Union, U.S., Britain, etc.) and shoot you down or hit the alarm to signal more soldiers. You usually have to lure the soldiers to you, then quickly pull out your weapon and shoot them down. However, even when your caught by other guards and even if you kill the guards that come after you, the soldiers from other areas won't even notice that you were responsible! You can act like your looking around for the culprit just like any other soldier, basically playing as a phony, then you blast them as they have their backs turned. Then there is the game's two player mode, in this mode its a one on one shooting fest where you take out each other. You start off with various weapons and then you pick up more weapons along the way, you then have to take down your opponent in a split screen small warfare and when you kill your opponent you can take their ammo and basically double, triple, quadruple, or even quindruple your total ammo. This is basically a back and forth battle, however if you get to close to your own fire power you can even knock yourself out as well. Its basically a never ending battle until one player calls it quits. Basically the game is a very good reinactment of WWII, although I'm not sure if the ally's soldier's story was true or not, the whole history lesson seems pretty accurate. EA has definitely done its homework in history class and I commend them for it! There is one down side aside from the controls in this game, the load times! Must EA always have such horrendous load times?

Overall: 9/10
This is definitely one of the best shooters that you will ever come across in a long time. You might even call this the equivalent of Goldeneye, but I think you might find this game another level above Goldeneye, mainly because of the history details and the rich gameplay all combined into one little neat CD you call Medal of Honor.
