"Now there are no English Mega Mans without a review"

Game Play-
6/10

This game is weird. The game takes four bosses from Mega Man 5 and two bosses from Mega Man 4 and makes them portable. The levels play just like they did in the NES versions. The weapons and bosses are the same as in the NES versions. if you are unfamiliar with Mega Man, then let me explain. You fight robots on stages, then you fight the boss robot of that stage. if you beat him, you get one of his weapons, which you can use on the next stage and boss. After all of the stages are completed, you go through the game boss, Dr. Wily's stages. You can use any weapon you want on him. The game has a hard level of difficulty. I wish they'd've put more bosses in here, but this is the Game Gear. There are a couple of companies listed in the opening credits. I haven't seen that many companies since the opening of the Dreamcast version of Tony Hawk. The game has two difficulty settings. They are Normal and Difficult. What ever happened to easy? If there was an easy difficulty setting, you could beat the game on one set of batteries.

Graphics-
7/10

The graphics look pretty good compared to the NES versions, except for a little screen scrolling. They do look exactly like the NES versions. This was one of the reasons for owning a Game Gear. Good game translations. Even the 16-bit games translated well to the system.

Audio-
4/10

No good Game Gear game has good audio. The game tries to duplicate the NES's sounds, and fails miserably. It ends up being scratchy and fuzzy and it hurts the ears. Napalm and Bright Man's themes are the only things that sound good in this game.

Enjoyability-
7/10

The game is enjoyable for a while, probably the best GG platformer out there. It aught to provide some fun, until the batteries run out. The Game Gear has awful battery lasting time. But who doesn't like Mega Man? Probably people who hate platformers.

Score-25/40

Overall-
6/10

Get this game if you're a Mega Man fan, or you want to blow a lot of money on one Game Gear game. It's fun, for a while. This game is one of the more expensive Game Gear games. It's also interesting to see Mega Man be honored on the Game Gear.
