If classic platformers such as Jet Set Willy, Chubby Gristle and Impossamole are your thing then look no further. An all new adventure known as Leonardos Lost Last Invention has just painted itself onto the ZX Spectrum - with expansive areas to explore, fantastic 8-bit visuals and plenty of pop-culture references to boot.

Arriving as a free download, this three level quest is one new homebrew offering you dont want to miss. Built using the Arcade Game Designer package, Leonardos Lost Last Invention puts you in control of Da Vinci as he hops around collecting lost relics from afar.

Instead of sticking to just platforming elements, the gameplay also mixes things up a bit in the second stage. With our Italian Renaissance protagonist comfortably sat on a speedy cycle, this homebrew release then brings along gameplay similar to that of Moon Patrol.

As bonkers as this all sounds, Leonardos Lost Last Invention is yet another fantastic offering to the ever growing range of homebrew releases for the ZX Spectrum. Be sure to head on over to the games official release thread to download a tape image, one which can either be enjoyed on the original hardware with a DivIDE or in a ZX Spectrum emulator.
