Sir Clive Sinclair yesterday refuted the story doing the rounds at the PC User Show (CI No 714) that Thorn EMI had pulled out of manufacturing his latest creation, the Z88 handheld portable; indeed, the machine at UKP287, UKP60 more than it was announced at, has already gone on sale by mail-order; one thing that is not on sale according to Sir Clive is the Anamartic wafer-scale chip venture, which is progressing nicely; it has not, says Sir Clive, made anyone redundant, contrary to tales doing the rounds.
